Welcome to New River Nooks

We believe the place you stay should feel just as good as the adventures you came for. That's why each of our properties is
hand-picked for comfort, character, and location — giving you a cozy home base to return to after a day well spent in the gorge.

All of our rentals sit right in the heart of it all, just minutes from New River Gorge National Park, the charming shops, restaurants,
and galleries of downtown Fayetteville, and a quick drive to the beautiful Summersville Lake.

Whether you're here to raft the rapids, hit the trails, explore a hidden West Virginia gem, or simply slow down and breathe it all in — we're so glad you found us. Come stay a while.

Landon and Lauri have spent years pouring care and intention into every property they host — creating spaces that are comfortable, clean, and full of character. For them, hosting isn't just a business, it's a way of connecting people to a place they've fallen in love with.

Landon splits his time between New River Nooks and The Shala Project, a non-profit bringing sustainable living and wellness educational opportunities to the New River Gorge area. You can learn more at theshalaproject.com.

Lauri is a 500-hour registered yoga teacher and the heart behind the wellness experiences offered alongside your stay. Specializing in sound healing, Thai energy work, Reiki, QiGong, Tarot, and more, she brings a rare and deeply personal touch to every session — rooted in her love for the Appalachian region and the people in it.

Together, they've created something a little different — not just a place to sleep, but a place to truly arrive.
